Preparation Method :

  • Grind all the chutney ingredients with ½ cup of hot water and grind to make a smooth paste. Adjust seasoning with salt. Transfer to a bowl and mix well.
  • The Tempering: Place the oil in a skillet over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add asafetida and mustard seeds. Fry till the mustard seeds splutter.
  • Pour the seasoning over the chutney.



  • 30 grams chopped onions
  • 30 grams grated coconut
  • 30 grams roasted chana or roasted peanuts
  • ½ teaspoon tamarind paste
  • 150 grams washed, chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • Green chilies, to taste  
  • Salt, to taste


  • 2 teaspoon Cooking oil
  • ¼ asafetida powder
  • 1 teaspoon black mustard seeds
