Preparation Method :

  • Heat a cup of milk in a heavy- bottomed pan. Bring to a boil and simmer to low flame. Add the carrots and sugar. Cook stirring frequently for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add the almond paste, stirring frequently till the milk reduces to a thick consistency.
  • Mix in the cardamom, saffron and fried cashew nuts. Stir till the mixture thickens.
  • Transfer to a bowl and cool before serving.


  • 350 ml milk
  • 250 grams grated carrots
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 12 raw cashew nut halves, fried to golden
  • 20 almonds, soaked, peeled and ground with half of the milk
  • 100 grams sugar
  • ½ teaspoon powdered green cardamom
  • Few saffron strands
