Preparation Method :

  • Cook the rice with 3 cups of water, till soft and mushy.
  • Add sugar, cardamom, ghee and coconut to the rice and mix well.
  • Serve at room temperature.


  • 120 grams Burma black rice (kavanarisi), rinsed, soaked and drained
  • 150 grams sugar
  • ½ teaspoon powdered green cardamom
  • 2 teaspoon ghee
  • 50 grams ground fresh coconut
