Preparation Method :

  • Melt the remaining butter in a deep pan. Add the tapioca and fry for a few minutes, stirring continuously.
  • Slowly add 1 cup of milk at a time stirring over low- medium heat. Cook for 10 minutes or until the tapioca turns tender.
  • Add the food coloring, along with the cardamom, saffron strands, crystalline camphor and sugar. Stir well over low heat.
  • Add the cashew nuts and raisins. Remove from heat and keep covered.


  • 90 grams tapioca
  • 500 ml milk
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 30 grams raw cashew nut halves, fried in half of the butter
  • A pinch of yellow food coloring
  • ΒΌ teaspoon powdered green cardamom
  • Few saffron strands
  • Small pieces crystalline camphor
  • Sugar, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon seedless golden raisins
