TOMATO RASAM

Preparation Method :

  • Boil 4 cups of water in a pan over medium heat. Add the tomatoes and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in the ginger and coriander leaves. Simmer over medium heat for other 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir the spice powders into the mixture.
  • Add the tomato puree. When the mixture boils add the garlic, adjust seasoning with salt and stir well.
  • Simmer to low flame for 6-7 minutes and remove from heat.

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 30 grams chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 2 teaspoon rasam powder
  • ΒΌ teaspoon black pepper and cumin powder
  • 50 grams tomato puree
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Salt, to taste
