DRY FRUIT BURFI

Preparation Method :

  • Bring the milk to a boil in a heavy bottomed pan.
  • Add the curd and stir continuously on a low flame till the milk reduces to half.
  • Add the sugar, nutmeg, mace, cardamom and chopped dry fruits and continue cooking on a very low flame till the milk thickens.
  • Add water and keep stirring over a low flame till all the moisture has evaporated and the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
  • Add the kewra essence and mix well. Remove from the flame and pour into a square tin.
  • Allow it to cool and cut in to squares.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 liter milk
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 2 teaspoon curd
  • 50 grams nutmeg powder
  • 50 grams mace powder
  • 50 grams cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoon chopped pistachios
  • 2 tablespoon chopped almonds
  • 2 tablespoon chopped figs
  • 2 tablespoon chopped walnuts
  • 4 drops of kewda essence
