Preparation Method :

  • Boil the sugar with water and the lemon juice.
  • Mix the corn flour with 100 ml of water till smooth.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan. Add the corn flour mixture and cook on low heat, stirring continuously.
  • When the mixture begins to thicken, remove from heat and add the sugar syrup. Keep stirring to prevent lumps from forming.
  • Add the remaining ghee, a little by little, stirring continuously.
  • Add the food colour and cardamom powder, and cook till the ghee separates.
  • Add the cashew nuts, Pista and mix well.
  • Transfer onto a greased aluminium tray and spread evenly with a greased spatula.
  • Cut into squares or diamonds, and remove when completely cooled.


  • 100 grams Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice 
  • 3½ tablespoons Corn flour
  • 6½ tablespoons Ghee    
  • Few drops Food colours 
  • 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder      
  • 100 grams Cashew nuts 
  • 50 grams Pista
