Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a kadai. Add the grated carrots and sugar and cook for about 5 minutes. Stir in the milk and continue to cook for 10-12 minutes.
  • Add the dates, cashews and ground cardamom, and mix well. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until almost dry.
  • Garnish with the almond slivers.


  • 1 tablespoon IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 750 grams carrots, grated
  • 60 grams sugar
  • 600 ml skimmed milk
  • 120 grams dates, stoned and chopped
  •  8-10 cashew nuts, roughly chopped
  • ½ teaspoon ground green cardamom
  • 8-10 almonds, blanched and slivered
