Preparation Method :

  • Boil water with sugar, cardamom seeds and food colour. Keep aside.
  • Heat ghee in a kadhai, add semolina and plain flour. Lower heat and cook the semolina for 5-7 minutes till the semolina is very light golden in colour, keep stirring continuously.
  • Add almonds and raisins and stir for a few seconds more.
  • Add the hot sugar syrup and stir for about 4-5 minutes till semolina absorbs the water.
  • Remove from heat when the water is absorbed and the halwa stops spluttering.



  • 200 grams semolina  
  • 1 tablespoon plain flour
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 3 green cardamoms seeds - crushed
  • Pinch of orange food colour
  • 100 grams ghee
  • 1 tablespoon raisins
  • 2 tablespoon chopped almonds
