RICH AND CREAMY RICE PUDDING (KHEER)

30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Wash the rice, drain excess water. Bring the rice and milk to the boil. Cook, stirring constantly, till the rice is tender and the milk is thick.
  • Add sugar and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add saffron, almonds, pistachios, and green cardamom powder.
  • Serve hot or chilled.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 litre Milk 
  • 250 grams Rice 
  • 250 grams Sugar 
  • ½ teaspoon Saffron, diluted in water 
  • 1 ¼ teaspoon Almonds, slivered 
  • 1 ¼ teaspoon Pistachios, slivered
  • ¼ teaspoon Green cardamom, powdered
