SESAME BALLS (ELLU URUNDAI)

Preparation Time :
10 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Dry roast the sesame seeds till light brown in colour.
  • Prepare a syrup by adding ½ cup water to the Jaggery and cooking it on low heat till the jaggery melts.
  • Add the grated coconut. Simmer on low heat till the syrup becomes thick and sticky.
  • Add the sesame seeds. Mix well. Turn off the heat.
  • Quickly shape into small laddu.
  • Store in an airtight container.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams white sesame seeds
  • 250 grams  powdered jaggery
  • 2 tablespoons grated coconut
