Preparation Method :

  • Dry roast the sesame seeds in a pan till they turn light golden and fragrant, for about 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool. Keep aside 100 grams sesame seeds for coating the balls.
  • To the remaining sesame seeds, give one quick churn in a mixer or roughly crush in a pestle-mortar.
  • Mash grated khoya with the palm of your hand till smooth.
  • Heat khoya in a kadhai on very low heat, stirring continuously for 2 minutes.
  • Switch off the heat and stir khoya for 2 more minutes till it melts to a paste-like consistency. Remove from kadhai and spread in a tray to cool.
  • Add powdered sugar and mix well. Add crushed roasted sesame seeds, nuts and raisins. Mix well.
  • Add more sugar if needed. Form into big balls. Roll over toasted sesame seeds to coat.
  • Store in an air tight box at room temperature.



  • 500 grams khoya, grated
  • 100 grams powdered sugar
  • 5 tablespoon raisins, chopped
  • 50 grams chopped cashews
  • 50 grams chopped almonds
  • 250 grams sesame seeds
