Preparation Method :

  • Boil milk in a thick bottom kadhai, after boil lower heat and simmer for about 25 minutes till the milk is reduced to one-third quantity and turns thick. Keep scraping the sides as you thicken the milk.
  • Grate the petha, add the petha and cardamom seeds to the rabri and mix well. The rabri is not too thick as the petha makes it very thick on cooling.
  • Remove from heat, pour into a serving dish and chill. Garnish at the time of serving.



  • 1½ liters full fat milk
  • 100 grams petha
  • Seeds of 4 cardamoms - crushed


  • 5 almonds - blanched and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon pistachio flakes
  • 1 sheet silver leaf
