PINEAPPLE BASUNDI PORRIDGE

Preparation Method :

  • Boil ½ cup milk in a heavy saucepan, till it reduces to half its quantity.
  • Warm the remaining milk and add saffron. Add this to the hot milk. Add the cardamom powder and the chopped nuts. Mix well and cool.
  • Cook the grated pineapple with the sugar in a saucepan till soft, stirring continuously for about 5 minutes on low heat. Cool.
  • Add cooked pineapple to the milk mixture. Mix well.
  • Serve chilled, garnished with pineapple pieces.

INGREDIENTS

  • 50 grams fresh pineapple, grated
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 750 ml milk
  • A few strands saffron
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom
  • Chopped nuts as desired
