WALNUT PUDDING

Preparation Time :
45 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Soak walnuts in 200 ml milk for 30-40 minutes.
  • Grind soaked walnuts and milk to a fine paste in a blender. Strain the paste and blend again if required.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and add walnut paste and cook for a minute.
  • Add remaining milk and sugar to the walnut paste and cook by continuous stirring over low heat.
  • When it reaches a consistency of condensed milk, add cardamom powder and saffron. Cook the mixture till it reaches the consistency of halwa.
  • Remove from heat. Garnish with pistachios slivers and serve hot or cold.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400 grams Walnut kernels
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 250 grams Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • A few saffron strands, crushed
  • 10 Pistachios cut into slivers
