BEATEN RICE WITH COCONUT MILK

Preparation Method :

  • Grind the grated coconut and extract milk twice. First will be thick milk and then the second extract will be thin milk.
  • Cook the beaten rice along with jiggery, chopped dry fruits and turmeric leaf in the thin coconut juice and 1 cup water. Add salt. Bring to a boil.
  • Add the thick coconut milk, reduce the heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Remove and serve hot or cold.

INGREDIENTS

  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1 turmeric leaf
  • 2 tablespoon chopped dry fruits
  • 100 grams beaten rice (poha), Rinse, Drain and allow to stand for 10 minutes
  • 100 grams jaggery
  • 250 grams grated coconut
