Preparation Method :

  • Fry paneer cubes to a golden colour.
  • Heat mustard oil to smoking point. Remove from fire and add asafetida.
  • Drain and squeeze the soaked methi and add to the oil. Return to fire. Stir fry on low flame for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add salt, sugar, turmeric and chilli powder,saute for a few seconds.
  • Add milk and boil for 3 minutes. Finally add fried paneer, cook covered till milk is almost dry.


  • 1½ tablespoon dried fenugreek leaves(kasoori methi) 
  • 3 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • A pinch of asafoetida 
  • 200 ml milk 
  • 200 grams paneer- cut in tiny cubes 
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder. 
  • ¼ teaspoon sugar
  • Salt to taste
