Preparation Method

  • Rinse the leaves three to four times, drain and dry it on a clean muslin cloth.
  • Heat a pan with two tablespoons of Idhayam Sesame Oil
  • Saute gongura leaves, green chillies and keep aside.
  • Heat another pan with rest of the Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Roast coriander seed, cumin seed, sesame seed, red chillies until red and allow it to cool.
  • Grind it along with gongura leaves along with turmeric powder and salt.
  • Heat a mini pan with a teaspoon of Idhayam Sesame Oil
  • Temper mustard, fenugreek, curry leaves, urad dhal and pour it over the gongura pachadi.
  • Allow it to cool and store in glass container.
