Preparation Method

  • Soak toor dhal for an hour.
  • Chop the fenugreek leaves finely.
  • Grind together toor dhal, green chillies and ginger without adding water.
  • Mix together ground batter, salt, grated coconut, coconut bits, coriander leaves, curry leaves and fenugreek leaves stir well.
  • Take a small ball of the batter and make into oval shape.
  • In a steamer bring water to boil. Grease the idli plates with Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Arrange the balls on the plates and steam it for ten minutes.
  • Drizzle ghee and serve.
