Preparation Method

  • Soak urad dhal and grind to a fine batter by adding salt and asafoetida.
  • Grind green chilli, ginger and coriander leaves.
  • Add it to the curd, salt and mix well.
  • Heat a mini pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil, temper mustard, add curry leaves and asafoetida.
  • Add curd mixture and keep aside.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil, when it becomes hot, take a lemon sized batter, pat it slightly, make a hole in the centre.
  • Flip the vada into the oil, and fry till crisp and golden brown on both the sides.
  • After frying all vadas soak the vadas in curd mixture and serve.
