Preparation Method

  • Soak urad dhal for half an hour.
  • Take a tablespoon of urad dhal and keep aside.
  • Drain the urad dhal completely.
  • Grind it along with salt and asafoetida finely. The batter should be light and fluffy.
  • Clean the greens and chop finely.
  • Chop the onions and green chillies.
  • Mix onion, green chillies, greens, pepper corns, tablespoon of urad dhal along with the ground batter.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam sesame  oil, when it becomes hot, wet your hands in water take a ball sized batter, flatten It, make a hole at the centre and deep fry till crisp and golden brown.
  • Serve hot.
