Preparation Method

  • Take 500 gms of fishes of your desire.
  • Chop the big onion finely and lengthwise.
  • Peel the garlic and chop it lengthwise.
  • Grind tomatoes, shallots ,fennel, cumin seed , turmeric powder, chilli powder and two tablespoon of grated coconut.
  • Soak the tamarind and extract the juice.
  • Extract rest of the coconut.
  • Chop the ginger lengthwise as match sticks.
  • Heat a broad pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil, when it becomes hot add ginger, garlic, onion, curry leaves and fry.
  • To this add the ground masala, add required amount of hot water and salt.
  • Add the tamarind extract and coconut extract.
  • Allow it to boil.
  • When the gravy thickens, flip the fishes and let it cook.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.
