Preparation Method

  • Wash and keep the mutton head piece.
  • Chop the shallots finely.
  • Crush the ginger and garlic.
  • Grind together fennel, cumin,poppy seed, coriander powder, chilli powder, cinnamon, cloves to a fine paste.
  • Grate the coconut and extractthick milk.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Saute ginger, garlic and curry leaves.
  • Add chopped shallots and fry well.
  • To this add the ground masala, simmer to a low flame and fry till the raw smell goes.
  • Add the mutton head pieces and fry for five minutes.
  • Pour required amount of water, add turmeric powder, salt and allow it to boil.
  • When the mutton head pieces are done pour the coconut extract.
  • When the gravy thickens remove from the fire and serve hot.
