Preparation Method

  • Cook the karunai kizhangu. Peel the skin and mash it well.
  • Soak the tamarind and extract the juice.
  • Chop onion, garlic, ginger and green chillies finely.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil, temper mustard, when it splutters add onion, garlic, ginger, green chillies and fry.
  • Add the mashed karunai kizhangu..
  • To this add turmeric powder, salt and fry well.
  • Add the tamarind extract.
  • Keep in a low flame, when the Gothsu thickens remove from fire.
  • Serve with dhal rice.
