Preparation Method

  • Soak the Mochaikottai overnight.
  • Pressure cook till soft.
  • Chop the shallots finely.
  • Chop the green chillies into thin circle.
  • Dry roast rice and roasted channa dhal and pound it.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper  mustard, curry leaves, shallots, green chillies, curry leaves and fry well.
  • Pour 50 ml of water, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and stir well.
  • When the gravy thickens, add the pound rice and roasted channa dhal powder.
  • Mix well and serve hot.
