Preparation Method

  • Blanch the tomatoes in water for ten minutes.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Peel the skin and keep aside.
  • Dry roast sesame seed and pound it.
  • Chop the green chillies and onions finely.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Temper mustard, when it splutters add Cumin seed, curry leaves and asafoetida.
  • Saute onion and green chillies.
  • Fry well.
  • Add the tomatoes, turmeric powder and fry until the tomatoes becomes soft.
  • Add chilli powder, salt and mix well.
  • Pour coconut extract and stir well.
  • To this add the sesame powder.
  • Remove from fire and serve.
