Preparation Method

  • Soak rice and urad dhal separately for two hours.
  • Grind rice coarsely and urad dhal to a fine batter.
  • Add salt and mix rice and urad dhal batter together and allow it to ferment overnight.
  • In a steamer, bring water to boil.
  • Grease the idli plates with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Pour the batter in each mould.
  • When the water stars to boil, place the idli plate and steam it.
  • Steam it for seven minutes.
  • Serve hot.
