Preparation Method

  • Heat a pan with ghee and roast the semiya and take in a mixing bowl.
  • In the same pan roast the rava.
  • Chop the onion.
  • Heat a tablespoon of Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper mustard, add curry leaves, saute onions, carrot, beans, stir well and keep aside.
  • Beat the curd.
  • Mix together curd, the fried vegetables, roasted semiya and rava, salt and marinate the batter for 30 minutes.
  • If required add water and stir well.
  • Spread a wet cotton cloth over the idli plates, pour a ladle of the batter in the mould.
  • Steam the idlies and serve hot.
