Preparation Method

For the Sandwich Masala
  • Cook the minced mutton and keep aside.
  • Chop big onions and green chillies.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Saute onion, green chillies, cooked mutton and stir well.
  • Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, cumin powder and fry.
  • When the masala coats the mutton remove from fire.
For make the Idli Sandwich
  • Soak the rice and urad dhal separately.
  • Grind the rice to a coarse batter and the urad dhal smoothly.
  • Mix both the batter together with salt and allow it to ferment overnight.
  • Grease the idli plates with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Take a ladle of the batter and pour it on the greased plate.
  • Keep a tablespoon of the minced mutton masala and pour another ladle of batter over the minced masala and allow it to steam.
  • Serve hot.
