Preparation Method

  • Pressure cook the potatoes, peal the skin and mash coarsely.
  • Add salt, turmeric powder to the cooked potatoes and mix well.
  • Chop the onions finely.
  • Split the red chillies.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil. Temper mustard,  add urad dhal, curry leaves, red chillies, onion and stir.
  • Add the mashed potatoes, stir well.
  • Saute for three - four minutes.
  • Add the grated coconut and fry for a minute.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.
