Preparation Method

  • Soak rice. Drain and pound it.
  • Boil water in a vessel.
  • Add butter, salt and simmer to a low flame.
  • Add the rice flour, stir continuously until smooth and slightly thick.
  • Remove from fire.
  • Make into balls.
  • Roll the balls into thin circles.
  • Heat a dosa pan. Flip the ari pathiri one by one and toast until it is cooked on both sides.
  • Remove from fire.
  • Immerse in coconut milk and serve.
