Preparation Method

  • Pressure cook toor dhal with turmeric powder.
  • Clean and chop greens finely.
  • Chop the onions finely.
  • Split red chilli into two.
  • Chop the tomatoes into six pieces.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper mustard, add cumin seed, curry leaves and red chilli. Saute onion, tomatoes and stir.
  • Add the toor dhal along with the water adding salt.
  • To this add the chopped greens.
  • When the greens are done, remove from fire and serve with hot rice.
