Preparation Method

  • Chop the gooseberry lengthwise and deseed it.
  • Dry roast asafoetida.
  • Soak the gooseberries adding lemon juice, salt, chilli powder and asafoetida.
  • Close  with a clean muslin cloth and let it under sunlight for a week.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil, when it becomes hot, temper mustard and pour it over the gooseberry mixture and mix well.
  • Store in an air tight containers.
