Preparation Method

  • Soak the moong dhal over night.
  • Drain the water, add 100 ml of water and grind it.
  • Roast cashew nut, almonds and raisins in ghee.
  • Boil milk. Add sugar and stir it continuously until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Remove from fire.
  • Heat a heavy bottomed pan with ghee, when it becomes slightly hot, add the ground moong dhal and stir continuously.
  • Add the sugared milk.
  • When the ghee separates from the halwa, add the cashew nut, pista, cardamom powder, raisins and stir well.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.
