Preparation Method

  • Marinate the paneer pieces with omam , ½ teaspoon of chilli powder, garam masala powder, dhania – cumin  powder, amchur powder, ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder, chaat masala and salt.
  • In a broad bowl combine gram flour, asafoetida, rest of the turmeric powder, chilli powder, cooking soda and salt.
  • Mix well adding required amount of water to a consistency of free flowing batter.
  • Heat Idhayam Sesame Oil in a heavy bottomed pan.
  • Dip the paneer pieces in the batter and deep fry till crisp and brown.
  • Fry rest of the paneer and serve hot.
