Preparation Method

  • Heat a pan with a teaspoon Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper with pepper corn, coriander, grated coconut, fennel, cumin seed and fry well.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Grind it to a smooth dough.
  • Soak the tamarind and extract the juice.
  • Dice the shallots.
  • Peel the garlic.
  • Heat a pan with rest of the Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper with cinnamon.
  • Saute shallots, green chilli and garlic.
  • Add the ground masala and fry till the raw smell goes.
  • Pour the tamarind extract along with chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and allow it to boil.
  • When the gravy thickens remove from fire and serve.
