Preparation Method

  • Grind together grated coconut, half teaspoon of pepper corn, two teaspoon of cumin seed and one sprig of curry leaves.
  • Chop the onion and tomatoes.
  • Soak the tamarind and extract the juice.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper cumin seed, pepper corn, fenugreek and rest of the curry leaves.
  • Saute onion and tomatoes.
  • Add the tamarind extract, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and stir well.
  • When the gravy starts to boil, add the coconut mixture and stir well until the gravy thickens.
  • Flip the fishes, when the fishes are done.
  • Remove from fire and serve.
