Preparation Method


  • Grind together turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and fennel powder.
  • Grate the coconut and grind it along with cashew nut, poppy seed to a fine paste.
  • Chop the onions finely.
  • Chop the tomatoes into big chunks.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper cinnamon, cloves and chilli.
  • Saute onion and tomatoes, ginger garlic paste and fry well.
  • Add the ground masala,simmer to a low flame and fry until raw smell goes.
  • Add the chicken, salt and fry for ten minutes.
  • If required add water and stir.
  • When the chicken is done add the ground coconut, cashew nut, poppy seed paste and fry for five minutes.
  • Adjust salt.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.
