Preparation Method


  • Dice the shallots, tomatoes and garlic finely.
  • Heat a pan with a teaspoon of Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Saute one tablespoon of chopped tomatoes, and tamarind.
  • Allow it to cool and grind it to a fine paste.
  • Dry roast red chilli and pound it coarsely.
  • Heat rest of the Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Tamper with mustard and Asafoetida.
  • Saute shallots and garlic.
  • Fry well.
  • Add the pound chilli powder, tomato - tamarind paste, required amount of water, salt and allow it to boil.
  • When the chutney thickens and the oil separates from the chutney,remove from fire and serve.
