Preparation Method

  • Combine maida, yellow colour powder, water and knead to a flexible dough.
  • Pour a tablespoon of Idhayam Sesame Oil, knead it again and let it aside for three hours.
  • Soak the chana dhal in water for two hours. Drain the water completely and grind it along with jaggery and cardamom powder.
  • Divide the stuffing into equal parts.
  • Take a small ball from the dough.
  • Grease the rolling board with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Place the ball and roll into circle.
  • Place the stuffing at the centre.
  • Cover the stuffing by sealing it on all sides and form a ball.
  • Flatten the ball and form a thin circle.
  • Heat a dosa pan with ghee.
  • Place the boli, drizzle ghee to the sides and fry both the sides till golden brown.
  • Serve hot.
