Preparation Method

  • Mix together maida, water, egg, salt and knead to a flexible dough.
  • Add three tablespoon of Idhayam Sesame oil and knead the dough again.
  • Allow it to ferment for six hours.
  • Take a ball of the dough.
  • Flatten to a thin sheet.
  • Fold it like the paper fan.
  • Swirl it from one end to the other.
  • Roll it into small circles with a roller pin.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam sesame oil.
  • When it becomes hot, add the parottas and deep fry both the sides till crisp and brown.
  • Place the parottas on a plate. Smash them with both the hands and serve hot.
