Preparation Method

  • In a broad bowl, combine rice flour, gram flour, sesame seed, cumin seed, asafoetida, chilli powder and salt.
  • Heat eight teaspoons of Idhayam Sesame Oil and pour it over the flour.
  • Add water and knead it to smooth firm dough.
  • Heat a deep frying pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Fill the dough in a murukku mould.
  • Keep the mould over the hot oil and squeeze the mould.
  • Deep fry the karasev’s till crisp and golden brown.
  • Store it in an air tight container and use.
