Preparation Method

  • Soak the urad dhal for thirty minutes and drain the water completely.
  • Grind the urad dhal coarsely along with asafoetida without adding water.
  • Pound the pepper corns coarsely.
  • Add the rice flour, salt and the pound pepper and mix well, grease a polythene sheet with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Take a medium size ball of the urad dhal batter.
  • Place it on the polythene sheet and pat it to a thin circle.
  • Make a hole in the centre.
  • Heat a deep frying pan with Idhayam sesame oil, when it become hot, deep fry the milagu vadai until crisp and brown.
  • Serve hot.
