Preparation Method

  • Soak rice separately and urad dhal separately.
  • Grind them to a thick consistency with salt.
  • Mix together, rice batter, urad dhal batter, cooking soda and chilli powder.
  • Cook the potatoes, peel the skin, add salt and mash it.
  • Chop the onion, green chilli, curry leaves finely.
  • Heat a pan with a tablespoon of Idhayam Sesame Oil..
  • Temper mustard, add urad dhal, curry leaves, onion green chillies and stir well.
  • Add the seasoning to the cooked potatoes, mix well.
  • Make medium sized balls and keep aside.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Dip each balls into the batter and deep fry till crisp and brown.
