Preparation Method

  • Peel the skin of ridge gourd.
  • Heat a pan with a tablespoon of Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Add urad dhal, red chilli, asafoetida, tamarind, garlic shallots, ginger and fry.
  • To this add the skin and grind it with salt.
  • Heat rest of Idhayam Sesame Oil, temper mustard, curry leaves and add the ground chutney and fry well.
  • When oil separates from the chutney, remove from fire and serve with Idli or Dosa.
