Preparation Method

  • Smother prawn, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Chop the shallots finely.
  • Chop the tomatoes.
  • Dice the bottle gourd into small pieces.
  • Grind together grated coconut, tamarind and green chilli.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Temper cinnamon, clove and curry leaves.
  • Saute onion and tomatoes.
  • Add the ginger –garlic paste and fry.
  • Flip the bottle gourd.
  • Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and fry for five minutes.
  • Flip the prawns, required quantity of water, salt and stir well.
  • When the prawns, bottle gourd is done, add the ground coconut paste.
  • Simmer to a low flame.
  • Stir well.
  • Remove from fire and serve.
