Preparation Method

  • Heat a pan with five tablespoon of Idhayam sesame oil.
  • When it becomes hot flip the prawns, fry and keep aside.
  • Chop the brinjal lengthwise finely.
  • Dice the tomatoes.
  • Grind coriander leaves, mustard, garlic and green chillies along with few amount of water.
  • Add five tablespoons of oil to the prawn fried oil and heat it.
  • Fry the brinjal and keep aside.
  • Heat a heavy bottomed pan with a tablespoon of Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Temper cumin seed, when it sizzles add tomatoes and fry.
  • Add the ground masala, simmer to a low flame and fry well.
  • Pour required amount of water, add salt, turmeric powder and stir.
  • Flip fried brinjal and prawns.
  • Allow it to cook until the masala thickens.
  • Remove from fire and serve.
