Preparation Method

  • Soak the rice for thirty minutes.
  • Grind together one onion, green chilli, fennel, cinnamon.
  • Chop onion and tomatoes lengthwise and finely.
  • Peel the potatoes and dice it.
  • Heat a heavy bottomed pan with ghee.
  • Add Cumin , onion and fry until golden brown add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste and fry well.
  • Add the ground masala and fry till the raw smell goes.
  • Stir fry the potatoes.
  • Drain the water completely from the rice and fry it.
  • Pour the milk, one cup of water add salt and turmeric powder.
  • Close with a lid simmer it.
  • When the rice is done garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
