Preparation Method

  • Par boil rice and keep aside.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Split red chillies into two.
  • Peel the garlic and keep aside.
  • Soak the tamarind and extract juice.
  • Heat a broad pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper mustard, urad dhal, chanadhal, curry leaves, red chilli, garlic and fry.
  • Add the tamarind extract, salt, turmeric powder and mix well.
  • When the tamarind extract becomes thick remove from fire.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Add it to the cooked rice, mix well and serve.
