Preparation Method

  • Soak the rice and urad dhal separately.
  • Grind the rice coarsely and urad dhal to a fine batter.
  • Mix together and add salt.
  • Allow it to ferment over night.
  • Dice the onions finely.
  • Heat a dosa pan.
  • Pour a ladle of the batter and spread in a circular motion.
  • Sprinkle the chopped shallots over the dosa.
  • Drizzle oil to the edges of the dosa, cook on a low flame.
  • Flip the dosa, when it turns to golden brown,remove from fire and serve hot.
